Trimming the Tree

We have a special tradition for decorating the Christmas tree.

It began the first year we were married.

We do our best to find the best tree the first weekend in December.

It sits out for a day before we bring it inside.

Then, the fun begins.

We place all the ornaments on the floor.

(we're getting quite the collection now)

Then we go in turn from youngest to oldest.

(it was extra special to have us all home for decorating this year)

Christmas music plays in the background

sometimes we have hot coco too.

It is a fun family afternoon or evening.

And the result is always beautiful!
