Wonka Kids

Our middle guy is in a play next week.

Well sort of, he is part of the stage crew.

I am so proud of him for trying new things this school year.

He is our quieter, take your time to get to know people, think things over first, doesn't really try new things often but oh so sweet, smart and sensitive son. He can take his time on deciding things, so we helped out with a little gentle nudging this school year. It seems to be paying off quite well so far.

His first new experience this year is the drama club.

He didn't want to try out for a singing role,

even though he has a good singing voice, I didn't want to push.

So he signed up to be one the stage crew.

He has learned a lot about being the behind the scenes and seems to be really having a fun time. He will be the main curtain guy and working the stage scenes on the right. I think he is getting a little excited that it is all coming together. There has been rehearsal every day after school this week.

There are 3 performances next week. One on Monday for half of the students, the second on Tuesday for the other half of the students and then Tuesday evening for family.

We are so excited to see all that they have been working on.

And I vow to be the loudest claps every time the curtain opens and closes! :D
