Little City

Our 1st grader and his class did a project recently on models. They learned about making a map of a city, how to make markers to represent different places and things and they also made their own little city. Each student brought home a building to color, R chose the library, and build. He had a fun time telling us all about how the map works and where things go. Reminded me of when our oldest had a similar project when he was in 5th grade. It was a little more involved but I enjoyed thinking how they like similar things.
