Pumpkin Carving
The boys were so excited to carve their pumpkins. They each decided on which picture they wanted to make. They helped put down the newspaper. They eagerly watched me cut the top off and then...
...they smelled the fresh pumpkin and things weren't as exciting! M left the kitchenn counter and sat and watched from the couch. He wasn't happy until we removed all seeds and threw out the insides.
R did at least try to remove some seeds. "It's too slimy" was the reason to hand off to Daddy for help.
It was just about this time that my hubby and I remembered this happening last year..LOL! The smell drove the boys away and I ended up doing all the carving last year.
We did make progress this year..they stayed in the kitchen longer than last year. Maybe in about 10 years they'll be the ones doing the carving. Until then, here's a couple of pics of our pumpkins.
